Getting Started with Warren

Warren takes under 10 minutes to set up. Follow the steps below to go from fresh install to your first project scheduled on the timeline.

First launch

When you open Warren for the first time, the app generates a one-time superadmin password. This is the only time you'll ever see it.

🔐
Write this down now. Warren cannot recover a lost superadmin password. Keep it in a password manager or a secure document. You'll need it any time you need full admin access.

After acknowledging the credential screen, Warren drops you into the Setup Wizard.

Saving your credentials

The credential reveal screen shows:

💡
Once you're inside the app, you can add additional Admin accounts for your studio leads. The superadmin account is a fallback — you don't need to log in as superadmin every day.

Setup wizard

The setup wizard walks you through five screens. You can always change these settings later in Settings → General.

1

Name your workspace

Enter your studio or company name. This appears in reports, share links, and Slack notifications.

2

Pick a brand color

Warren uses this color for accents, charts, and the sidebar. Choose something that matches your brand.

3

Set your working days

Toggle which days of the week your studio works. Warren uses this to calculate capacity and skip non-working days on the timeline.

4

Connect Harvest (optional)

Paste your Harvest Account ID and Personal Access Token to enable two-way time sync. You can skip this and connect later in Settings.

5

Connect Slack (optional)

Add your Slack Bot Token and App Token to let your team log hours directly in Slack. Skip for now and configure in Settings → Integrations.

Interactive onboarding tour

After completing the wizard, Warren plays an eight-slide tutorial. Swipe through it — each slide demonstrates a key feature area:
