Widgets & Live Activities

Keep your timer and income visible on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Dynamic Island.

Add a Widget

  1. Long-press on your Home Screen to enter edit mode
  2. Tap the + button in the top-left corner
  3. Search for Wendigo
  4. Choose your widget size:

Small Widget

Shows your active timer with a LIVE indicator, elapsed time, and earnings-to-date. If no timer is running, it displays today's total earnings.

Medium Widget

Split view with your active timer on the left and dashboard stats on the right: today's earnings, pending invoices, and active client count.

Large Widget

Lock Screen Widgets

Wendigo supports Lock Screen accessory widgets in three sizes:

  • Circular — Compact timer display
  • Rectangular — Timer with client name and elapsed time
  • Inline — Minimal timer in the notification area

Live Activities & Dynamic Island

When a timer is running, Wendigo displays a Live Activity that appears:

  • Lock Screen Banner — Shows client name, running timer, earnings, and an animated icon
  • Dynamic Island (Compact) — Small icon and elapsed time
  • Dynamic Island (Expanded) — Client name, earnings, running timer, and a "Tap to stop" button

Live Activities update in real-time. Tap the expanded Dynamic Island view to open Wendigo directly to the timer screen.

Tapping any Wendigo widget opens the app directly to the relevant screen. Tapping the timer widget takes you to the Time tab. Tapping the dashboard widget takes you to Dashboard.

Note: Widgets update via App Group data shared with the main app. Make sure the widget and app are on the same device for real-time accuracy.
