Getting started
Tap the + button on the Today tab. You can type a description in plain language — for example, "drink 8 glasses of water daily" — and HabitFlo will set it up for you automatically. You can also configure the cadence, reminder time, and icon manually.
HabitFlo supports daily habits, weekly habits (where you set a target number of times per week), and specific weekday habits (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday only). Each habit can have its own cadence.
A streak increments each time you complete a habit on a scheduled day. If you miss a scheduled day, the streak resets to zero. For weekly habits, completing the required number of times in a calendar week counts as that week's completion.
Apple Watch
The Watch app is included with HabitFlo. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to the "Available Apps" section, and tap Install next to HabitFlo. It will appear on your Apple Watch within a few moments.
First, make sure both your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected and nearby. Open HabitFlo on your iPhone, then open it on your Watch — sync happens automatically when both apps are running. If the issue persists, try restarting HabitFlo on both devices. Still stuck? Email us and we'll help.
Insights & Notifications
Smart nudges activate after you've completed a habit at least 14 times. At that point, HabitFlo has enough data to detect patterns in when you tend to complete the habit and will send reminders at those moments. You can disable nudges for any individual habit in its settings.
Tap on any habit to open its detail view, then tap Edit. Under the Reminder section you can set a fixed time notification. Make sure HabitFlo has notification permission in Settings → Notifications → HabitFlo.
HabitFlo can read data from Apple Health to automatically complete certain habits — for example, if you track workouts or steps in the Health app, a linked HabitFlo habit can be marked complete automatically. You grant access in Health → Apps → HabitFlo.
Account & Data
Yes — HabitFlo is free to download on the App Store. All core features including habit tracking, streaks, the Apple Watch app, and Insights are available at no cost.
Your habit data is stored locally on your device and synced via iCloud (if enabled). We do not store your personal habit data on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Deleting HabitFlo from your device removes all locally stored data. To also remove iCloud data, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → HabitFlo and delete the data there. If you need any assistance, email us.
