Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

1. License

Gather is licensed, not sold. This license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

2. Pro Features

Certain advanced features (iCloud sync, unlimited custom fields, smart collections, etc.) require a one-time "Pro" in-app purchase. This purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID.

3. Your Data

You own all data you create in Gather. We make no claim to your library, tags, notes, images, or any other content. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

4. Metadata Sources

Gather fetches cover art and metadata from public APIs (Open Library, Google Books, TMDb, MusicBrainz, Discogs). This data is provided "as is" and subject to each provider's terms. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability.

5. No Warranty

Gather is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of vulnerabilities.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lymegrove shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use Gather.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lymegrove harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Gather in violation of these terms or applicable law.

8. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use and delete the app from your devices.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
