Create your first knowledge node and learn the basics in under two minutes.
Follow these steps to begin building your personal knowledge graph.
Open the app and walk through the onboarding slides. They explain the core concepts — nodes, connections, and search. You can replay them anytime from Settings → Replay Onboarding.
Tap the + New button in the header (or use ⌘ N on macOS). Beatrice opens a guided creation journey — you'll be walked through title, content, and tags step by step. No blank slate confusion.
Open a node, scroll to Relationships, and tap +. Pick another node and define how they relate. See Knowledge Graph for details.
Use the search bar at the top of the canvas to find nodes by title, content, or meaning. Beatrice’s semantic search understands context.
Tip: All data stays on your device. Nothing is sent to the cloud. Your knowledge graph is completely private.
A quick tour of the main screens.
The main screen shows your knowledge graph as an interactive grid. Nodes appear as cards you can tap to open. The sidebar (swipe from the left edge or tap the menu icon) lets you filter by node type, view Synapse insights, and access settings.
The sidebar displays all nodes grouped by type, plus a Synapse insights section and live stats footer. Click a node to open its detail inspector on the right. Use the search field to filter the list.
Tap or click any node to open its detail inspector. Here you can read content, edit the title and body, manage tags, view metadata, create and edit relationships, and trigger the Synapse Engine to discover hidden connections.
Switch to Map View to see your graph as a force-directed network. Edges are color-coded by relationship type. Tap the edge legend in the toolbar to see a breakdown of active relationship types.
